I am age 25 and a student from the University of Otago. I am currently undertaking a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Design Studies and minoring in Music. I am in my final year of study and am initiated in four design papers for the year and one full time music composition paper. I have previously studied towards a Diploma in Architectural technology and have worked as an Architectural Draughts-person as well a taught out of school music for yr7-yr10 classes.
I got the idea of creating games for occupational therapists while travelling overseas with my sister who is an occupational therapist. During sometime in a museum my sister saw a memory game. She said, “I could use a game like this”. I asked the question “why?” and she replied “it would be really good to use with my children, for assessing and developing areas such as fine motor skills, hand eye co-ordination, memory recall, visual stimulation, positioning, in-hand manipulation and manoeuvring items around themselves.” Through this inspiration I decided to design and develop games to aid in this process.
My name in Tony Zwies.
